Vol 144: Skier mugs, Caravaggio in NYC, magic hair wand for flyaways + 4 more recommendations
1. Powderhound Marker Mug
I received a handful of these skier mugs from my godmother years ago and to this day they’re my favorite mugs to drink coffee out of.
2. Caravaggio’s Boy with a Basket of Fruit in NYC
Caravaggio’s Boy with a Basket of Fruit is on loan from the Galleria Borghese and on display at the Morgan Library and Museum until April 19th. The Morgan Library is such a special place and one I used to frequent often when I lived in New York. It’s such an underrated venue and rarely crowded. Well worth a visit to see this if you’re in NYC!
3. Attersee The Tassel Scarf
The ultimate cashmere wrap that would go with anything as it’s both chocolate brown and black.
4. Bow Tie Corkscrew
Such a fun corkscrew in a myriad of colorways. Pair with a favorite bottle of wine for an easy hostess gift.
5. Marysia Palm Springs Maillot
Tempted to purchase this leopard print one piece for my various warm weather trips this year. I get irked when I see the price of bathing suits since it requires so little fabric, but I have a few pairs of Marysia bikinis I’ve had for years and still wear, so they’re worth the investment.
6. Chris McMillan The Wand
I keep seeing recommendations for this Chris McMillan hair wand all over the internet recently. Created by famed hairstylist Chris McMillan (he was responsible for Jennifer Aniston’s Friends hairstyle and has a hefty roster of celebrity clients), this wand is supposed to smooth and tame flyaways. It looks extremely easy to use and hard to mess up - I think I’ll have to try it!
7. Rosewood Courchevel
All the photos of the Olafur Eliasson installation in the new Rosewood Courchevel look so striking. The work features two crystalline structures suspended amid mirrored walls and ceilings, creating the illusion of floating geometric forms that seem to extend into infinity. Family ski trip to the Alps to see it in person?!
